Proteus customer, Adam Neald, has spoken out against the Omega Package, labelling it an “expensive extra”, just days after publicly supporting the screening process.
With his partner Martin Cassidy, Neald was until very recently set to use the Omega package to “chose” their child. Neald said today, “All the maybes and by no mean’s certains Proteus gave me really showed just how vague the whole process is. It’s more of an expensive extra than anything else. The screening only shows a predilection for certain types of behaviour but there are no guarantees.”
Adam and Martin abandoned the screening after it emerged that Adam had gone behind Martin’s back to use the screening to try and ensure their child would be more likely to be heterosexual. “I am so sorry, I just didn’t want our child to put up with the abuse we have had to put up with about being gay. I realize now that environment and upbringing has a lot to do with it. I just hope that Martin can forgive me.”
Martin Cassidy was today unavailable for comment.
