I’m Toni’s mum. I’m so worried about her. I used to think we were such good friends and that we could talk about anything. At first, I thought she was just blinded by the “junkie chic” marketing strategy of the Bedlam Runners but now it’s obvious that there is much more to it than that. She seems to hate my husband Mark, but he tries really hard and is actually a much better dad to her than her own father. I think she blames me for not staying with her dad. I feel so guilty, but she shuts me out like I’m not there. I love her so much but I just feel so helpless.
