The Biochemistry department of Thames University and the
Kensington and Islington Arts Trust have combined forces to produce
the arts-meets-science Culture Shock Culture Festival.
The biochemistry department will act as a consultative voice for the
Arts Trust, who have collaborated on the production of the festival,
the aim of which is to bring science and the arts together by exploring
scientific issues and questions through the realms of the arts.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the performance of a
play written by Miss Sarah Jones of the Arts Trust, under the guidance
of scientist Dr. Edward Marsh, Thames University. The play will address
the subject of cloning, which is currently a very sensitive and controversial
subject.
